Flat Iron Tips

Ah, the third round of Chi! Maybe some claim? Let's see.

The announcement is part of a series of comparisons CHI hair and frenzy is underway to see how it stacks against other CHI Professional Flat irons. So let's put to the test against GHD CHI based on temperature settings, materials, comfort, and cost reviews.

Call Battle - CHI Original Ceramic 1 "versus GHD Ceramic.

Heat Up

To kick things off, let's look at the temperature. Comparing GHD Chi, no obvious difference. Both plates come with exactly one heat setting - 370 degrees. And since the Chi and GHD offers quick heating time, these irons reach room within seconds.

GHD contains an internal microprocessor to provide the ceramic heat, even over the entire plate, avoiding hot spots. CHI maintains a similar level of heat, but it is unclear whether using technology CHI GHD microprocessor itself. Either way both heat plates to 370 degrees and use the ceramic heat technology to maintain this temperature.

Material Whirl

Hm, even match so far! Let's see if we can find some differences.

Well, both are ceramic. Thus, ceramic pottery face - I guess there is not much change here either. As I mentioned earlier, GHD touts an internal microprocessor to disseminate ceramic heat evenly across the plates. CHI mentioned that in addition to ceramic plates, coils are ceramic, moist heat production. Or is not the same mechanics, I'm sure, but it seems the two are in direct competition.

Then, GHD brings something new to the table - floating technology plate. Basically, ceramic plates hair adjusted to suit all hair textures, while maintaining the design capacity. Therefore, GHD styles with heat instead of tension, CHI appears to lack this ability. This round goes to GHD for this versatile design.

Capacity Convenience

Both CHI and GHD straightening more promise - as a design tool that can create a number of looks. CHI offers an ergonomic design weighs over two kilos and has a 10 'swivel cord to relieve physical stress on the wrists and hands while style.

The design includes plates GHD curved and a barrel shape to curls, waves and turns along the straight. The designer weighs a little less, about 1 ½ pounds and features a swivel cord training, along with automatic safety shutdown when the iron is left unattended for 30 minutes.

CHI and GHD seem fairly even in this category too. Another tie.

CHI - 2, GHD - 3

That we

Only by comparing the number of comments on Folica.com for each product, CHI is in the lead with more than 1300 compared to only 132 in GHD. The two differ in the standings with CHI 4.12 rating of 5, and get GHD 4.57 5 stars.

However, Amazon, GHD has more than 28 comments, only 2 of the Original Chi. I figured I'd take all Amazon reviews and 5 pages of reviews Folica.com into account.

CHI receives more than half of his comments from satisfied customers who give superior product classification. Sift through all the most customers seem very impressed with how well the iron is arranged hair, and kept on. Moreover, customers complained of problems using the Chi to create other styles such as curls, and a number of customers had the Chi rupture or mechanical problems shortly after purchase.

GHD receives incredibly high marks from more than 80% of respondents, with many customers raving about the quality hairdressing styles and the ability to create a variety of looks easily. The main complaints customers commented on the fixed temperature setting, and cost.

This round goes to GHD. Basically, even with fewer revisions, GHD receives the most positive comments, the complaints seem less severe. A face with a flat iron heat setting is better than a broken plank.

CHI - 2, GHD - 4

Final Cost

There is a difference between CHI and GHD when it comes to costs. From what I can say is the $ 100 dollar price difference between the two. But until now, had GHD CHI - so maybe the $ 100 is it worth it?

The Original CHI has a list price of $ 179.95 manufacturer, but is available at Amazon and Folica for about $ 100 less. Some websites offer a guarantee on the equipment Chi, but Chi's Web site says that Internet shopping retailers online will not be covered by the guarantee of CHI.

GHD lists between $ 250-300, but is available for less than $ 200 at Folica and elsewhere. GHD has policy guarantee.

Both plates large investments, with little protection, but this time CHI wins affordability.

CHI -- 3, GHD - 4

And the winner is ...

By a hair (pun intended), GHD. Chi and GHD irons are incredibly similar, but ultimately, the GHD cattle. However, it is good to know that chi is a great alternative to more expensive GHD Styler.

For more information on both products, take a look at the product pages at Folica for Chi or GHD, or treat the pages of the brand.
