The best method of trying to determine whether Sedu or Chi that the flat iron is best to collate and analyze the complaints made by real consumers. Sometimes it is better to compare complaints rather than comparing the recommendations brilliant, partly because you're always sure if the recommendation is a real person, and also because "The recommendations tend to be bright specific whereas complaints usually are.
Complaints and comments all comments received both folica.com for plates made between January 2006 and July 2006. I use this as my source, because it was the largest collection of flat iron reviews I could find.
The main complaints made by who bought a CHI flat iron:
- Poor quality control (the back do not work, stop heating after a few months, stop working after a few minutes of use, became very hot and melted the plastic)
- Tends to snag your hair. The edges of the CHI flat iron have not been rounded and this led to hair hooked.
- The older models had no heat control whereas Sedu flat iron has a configuration adjustable temperature. This perhaps could be ignored as the new versions of CHI flat irons now have fully controllable temperature setting.
- Smoothing took too long. Other brands that Corioliss and GHD were reported as being much faster to straighten hair.
- Some users complained they could not stretch the hair and so gave up
- The cost of warranty repairs are expensive

The main complaints made by who bought a Sedu flat iron:
- Client expected a better performance of the Sedu, my hair is not as smooth or not to remain soft as they would have liked
- One customer explained that they love, but still get a better result in the lounge (for more money, of course)
- Some reported that his hair was very dry after using a Sedu flat iron

In conclusion, Although Chi had many satisfied customers, the quality of the CHI flat iron was in question. Based on this survey - remember, these were randomly selected from a single website -- The Sedu flat iron came out as the best.
