It is also called the "Thermal Ionic System", which makes use of a substance Called Ammonium Thioglycolate. It utilizes a flat iron that is heated to about 170 to 230 degrees Celsius. It makes your hair permanently pin-straight while leaving your hair shiny and soft.
Another alternative to lye relaxers are the non-chemical temporary strengtheners. These are numerous types of smoothing glazes or styling lotions that are made up of natural ingredients such as wheat proteins. These alternatives are much better for the health of your hair.
